The Alaskan Malamute is one of the oldest Arctic sled dogs.  They are a very powerful and substantially built dogs with a deep chest and strong, well-muscled body.  The coat is thick with a whoolly undercoat and a coarse guard coat.  The Alaskan Malamute is an affectionate, friendly dog, but not a " one man" dog.  He is a pack animal that needs training and socialization from a puppy though adulthood.

Take a look at my Alaskan Malamutes.  Though they are retired they are still a very important part of Alex and I's life!!
